Over 1 and 1/2 years too late, here are my personal favorite albums over the past decade!
The past decade brought a lot of great music for not just everyone but for me personally. Around 2010-11 was when I truly got into albums and the world of blogged about indie, rock, pop, electronic, hip hop, and so much more. I continued to be involved in the culture since, categorizing and reviewing my favorite music each and every year since 2013 or so. Now since the decade is over (and was for 1 and 1/2 years lol) I decided to finally make a list of my favorite songs and albums over the past 10 years from 2010-2019. There are a couple of ground rules though: I decided to only choose 1 song/album per artist, meaning that each list wouldn't have duplicates of artists minus a few examples (solo Kanye West and the Kanye/Jay-Z collaboration are both included, while two Nicolas Jaar projects are both included - DARKSIDE and A.A.L.). I did this so that there would be more variety and more artists would be celebrated for their excellent work. It simply wouldn't be as interesting if there were 3 Vampire Weekend albums and a bunch of Fleet Foxes songs of the same list, right? Anyway, these lists aren't perfect and my opinions on the rankings change within each day, but I thought I did an accurate representation of what my favorite music is over the past decade.
